Joe's Myths

I played the game that was recommended in the Tech Tip's section of the homework website. I really liked using this game because it was helpful to be forced to have to react quickly to what was being presented to me to type. I would recommend using this website if you need help with typing better.

I tried the reccommended test at https://www.keyhero.com/free-typing-test/ . I typed at 71 words per minute with a 95% accuracy. I liked using this website because it allowed for mistakes and accounted for them later.

I used the website befunky.com to make my collage. It also houses a collection of images to use, which I searched for drums and found these.

I explored the many features of the Canvas dashboard and have found several of them to be very useful. The sidebar is very useful for being able to quickly navigate to specific parts of the site without getting lost or confused. I feel like there is just the right amount of stuff in the dashboard as it is. It has a lot of shortcut to get you to the important stuff but not too many as to make it look cluttered and just as confusing.

I set up the Canvas notifications to send me an email anytime something happens in any of my classes' canvas pages. I also have it push notifications to my phone so that I will be extra sure to see any updates that happen for any of my classes. This extra insurance on keeping up to date with my classes will no doubt be very useful the rest of the semester.

I've been using the Canvas App for a while now, originally it was so I would know when my professors posted exam scores. I have since begun using more of its features, like looking at messages, checking announcements, and I've even submitted a few assignments right from the app. It is a very useful innovation and I will continue to try to use it better every day.
